The Historic Dome Preservation Group non-profit corporation has a seven member Board Of Directors.
Allan Zimmerly is a retired consulting radio engineer. He worked for a small firm in San Francisco with clients through the United States. He developed mobile radio system designs and specifications for transit districts, water districts, and the National Forest Service and supported clients in the implementation of those designs.
Ross Carkeet is retired from Columbia Community College where he taught forestry. He was instrumental in the creation of Columbia Community College and is a charter faculty member . Mr Carkeet is a second generation resident of Tuolumne County and attended grammar school in the Dome building.
Roy Lane has a long résumé of architectural design and construction projects. His designs range from office buildings to private homes. Mr. Lane is also a second generation resident of Tuolumne County having grown up in Columbia.
Davina Lane has extensive experience as a business executive.
Connie O’Conner is a retired radio dispatcher from the National Forest Service here in Tuolumne County. She has served as executive director of the Tuolumne County Arts Alliance for many years before retiring. Our vision for the rehabilitated Dome building was conceived by Connie O’Conner.
David Harris is a local businessman with construction experience as a general contractor specializing in large office and industrial buildings. He has buildt and leased warehouse and similar buildings to several governmental agencies and corporations. Mr. Harris founded, and continues to operate, Conifer Communications.
Jeff Wilson is a Sonora native and a 3rd generation family member to attend the Sonora Elementary School in the Dome. He had classes in the Dome until the 6th grade. After graduating college at Sacramento State University, he return home to join other family members operating their family’s Terzich & Wilson Funeral Home since 1980. He’s married, has 3 step-children, and 5 grandchildren.
